July 4th 1997 was the 50th anniversary of the famous Crash at Roswell, of a UFO back in 1947. People from all over the world gathering for the convention to be held on that day.

I had always wanted to go to Roswell but never had a real reason or motivation to do so. I always thought perhaps someday... but never thought NOW!...until July 1st 1997.

So I asked our regular travel agent for my company to find out the cheapest flight and rental car for my trip. Next day, I booked a flight to El Paso, Texas, about 5 hours south of Roswell.

Departure was July 3rd ( from JFK ) at 6:30PM (I had to leave work an hour early to make the flight. I arrived in El Paso at 10:50PM then Drove 3 hours to Carlsbad New Mexico, where I booked my hotel. All the hotels and flights around Roswell where completely booked. The next morning I drove 2 more hours to get to Roswell... and here are the photos:
